Professorial Continuing Faculty Status Track
Public Relations Position
Permanent (continuing faculty status) professorial track position in public relations with emphasis on digital and social media analytics, strategy and tactics. Teaching assignments will be in public relations classes, including digital and social media, as well as School of Communications core, elective and graduate courses. Specific teaching assignments depend on the candidate's qualifications and School needs. The position will have involvement in the Y Digital (social and digital media) lab. In addition to teaching, faculty responsibilities include citizenship and scholarship. The successful candidate will maintain a productive research and publication agenda and will actively participate in the School, College and University through faculty committees and other activities.
Appointment will be at assistant or associate professor rank according to the candidate's qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in the strategy, tactics and analytics of digital and social media in a public relations sequence that is part of a communications B.A. and M.A. program. Professional public relations experience is preferred. A doctorate is required, preferably Ph.D. in public relations or digital communications. Social media expertise to assist students as they compete in an ever-changing media landscape is desirable.
