Instrument Technician
The Buffalo Sewer Authority is searching for several individuals that are highly motivated and possess thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of computer-controlled systems which involve control processors and software, communications protocols, communication devices, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical principles, types of instruments, control devices and functions of their component parts. Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, including drawings, specifications, lay-outs, blueprints and schematics; Physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Technology; or Associates Degree from an accredited college, university or technical institute in mechanical, electrical or electronic technology and two (2) years of full-time qualifying experience; or Graduation from High School, GED or Equivalency Diploma with course work in mechanical, electrical or electronic technology and four (4) years of full-time qualifying experience; or six (6) years of full-time qualifying experience.
Salary starting at $48,276.00. Residence in the City of Buffalo is a requirement of the position.
An applicant must be able to verify 90 days of continuous and uninterrupted residency.
