DUAL CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Seeking a highly accomplished and skilled Dual Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") to serve the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California ("CRR") Tribal Government and Chicken Ranch Economic Development Corporation ("CREDC").
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CRR Tribal Chairman and CREDC Executive Director, the Dual CFO is a full-time- exempt position responsible for overall financial management within the CRR Tribal Government and CREDC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to consistently analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; overseeing all financial, project/program and grants accounting, monitoring progress and changes, and keeping the Tribal Chairman, Tribal Council, and CREDC President/Board abreast of the Tribe's financial status; effectively communicating and presenting the critical financial matters as appropriate. The Dual CFO will provide all necessary reports and grant fund accounting as required. This position will oversee the management of operations of the financial and related functions of the CRR and CREDC. Ensuring that all accounting and financial operations are executed in accordance with the system of internal controls and all applicable Tribal, state, and federal regulations and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards. The CFO directly assists the CRR Tribal Chairman and CREDC Executive Director in various strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and the securing of new revenue streams and funding. This position has the responsibility for the day-to-day supervision, problem resolution, support, guidance, policy interpretation, and technical assistance to the Tribal Leadership, directors, managers, and supervisors relating to financial management issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Master's Degree and/or Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Seven years of progressive experience with auditing, finance, and computerized accounting management. Five years in a manager or supervisory capacity.
- Fund accounting experience required.
- Must possess a valid Driver's license for state of residency; be insurable through the Tribal vehicle insurance policy.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
