Department of Public Works Municipal Service Worker
The City of Lebanon is accepting applications for the full-time position of a Municipal Service Worker in the Department of Public Works Division of Streets-Parks-Cemetery. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated team player and will perform a wide range of maintenance activities within the Division including roadway repairs, traffic control, traffic signage installation, event support, snow event operations, mowing, tree removal and trimming, landscaping and other duties as assigned. General knowledge of the operation of construction related equipment and commercial mowers is recommended. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent GED and possess basic experience with the use of computers and computer software packages (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must possess, or have the ability to promptly obtain, a valid Ohio Class A Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of employment. Anticipated starting hourly pay rate is $16.41 to $22.35, Depending on qualifications, with training opportunities available for a pay rate increase. The City offers excellent benefits and retirement. 16-hour straight time pay for weekly stand-by is available and candidates must be able to perform periodic paid emergency call-outs with the expectation of reporting to work within 30 minutes of being contacted.
