Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations
Overview
The Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations is accountable for supporting all day-to-day IT operations and projects. This position is responsible for the installing Server hardware and Operating system software, server applications including third party software technologies design and cloud applications/systems. This position is also responsible for all day to day operations and availability of infrastructure, cloud systems and applications across the enterprise. Personal need
to ensure redundancy, disaster recovery, customer satisfaction, business continuity and all IT operations.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- Ensure the continuous and secure operation, administration and maintenance of the networking, server, storage and voice infrastructure through hands-on capability
- Conducts analysis of system performance, network and other IT activities to enhance overall service delivery to the business
- Follow ‘best practice’ standards as well as developmental policies and procedures to meet J-Sox and ITGC compliance.
- Personal needs to follow directions given by his manager/leaders in day to day operations as well as assigned task and projects.
- Personal needs to follow all procedures and policies.
- Personal needs to do clear communication with all customers by making sure issues are resolved in timely manner.
Deployments & Operational Management:
- Accountable for the IT Service Management program by following Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) in IT department and the business units/enterprise including the measuring and tracking of Operational Level Agreements (OLA’s) amongst IT functions
- Manage and support day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure Team, by following the ITSM ticket, through the assignment of work, and providing day to day reporting.
- Monitor the daily performance of servers, networks, cloud system, telecommunications and other critical systems, takes corrective action to resolve issues.
- Ensures high availability of critical business systems.
- This position will be responsible for regular on-call shifts for 24x7 systems support and need to troubleshoot and fix problems in a timely manner
- Works with other functional IT areas on project related activities including the deployment, configuration of systems under the direction of project leader/manager
- Maintain disaster recovery ability for all critical software and hardware systems
- As and when require create the SOP Documents and train the other IT team members.
- Follow all practices for IT vendor management e.g. gathering quote, creating PO, documenting all requirement as per requirement
- Subject to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and Ajinomoto Food’s HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures, assisting the Ajinomoto Food health plan with day-to-day activities involving protected health information, including but not limited to, assisting with employee claims, coordinating benefits, determining health claim status, determining eligibility for coverage, budgeting and renewal, billing and collection activities, obtaining assistance from third-parties for plan functions, and any other duties delegated by the HIPAA Privacy or Security Officer.
Qualifications
- B.S. or MS from Accredited University
- 8+years of hands on work experience relevant work experience in technology support, network services, systems administration.
- 4+ years in a leadership role (manager or higher)
- Strong hands-on/technical knowledge of Virtualization and Cloud technologies required
- Must have a strong hands-on/technical knowledge of core Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS SQL, SharePoint, Skype, Exchange, SCCM, Ops Mgr., DPM, O365 etc.
- Certifications in Microsoft/Cisco (MCSE / CCNP) technologies required
- Expert level knowledge of enterprise class storage arrays required
- Strong scripting skills required
- Must be a champion for pushing IT standards, procedures, policies, and best practices to the infrastructure team
- Must have proven management skills with the ability to mentor staff members
- ITIL or PMI Certification is preferred
- Familiarity with Enterprise Information Security
- Familiarity with ITIL Incident Management
- Potential night/ weekend work for upgrade / maintenance projects required
- Travel required
