Project Field Utility Superintendent

Crow Creek Construction is seeking a qualified Project Field Utility Superintendent.
- Applicants must have 3-5 years experience in earthwork, pipeline and street construction.
- Salary is based on experience.
Essential Functions

Plan and perform all work under all OSHA Standards. Must have Trench Safety and Confined Space training.

Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.

Responsible for the safety of the crew. Planning, scheduling and coordinating the work

Read construction drawings and blueprints.

Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork as required daily and properly including but not limited to: Timesheets, Trench Logs, Bore Log Sheets, etc.

Take measurements off blueprints; figure and shoot grade/elevations for construction requirements.

Organize crew, materials, and equipment to achieve highest productivity and quality and lowest cost in line with the budget.

Record and report equipment and material use; work production and employee work hours on specified forms.

Continuously check the work of crew and adjust the work or plan and schedule as required. o Maintain inventory of equipment and materials well in advance of the need.

Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of installing underground utility pipe, fittings, valves, and piping systems.

Able to operate excavator/loader.

Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

Able to read plans and do general layout. Should be familiar with installing different types of underground pipe and be able to shoot elevations.

Maintain understanding of trenching, excavation, and backfill.

Performs installation of pipe, fittings, valves, and piping systems.

Install, diagnose and repair/replace pipe, fitting, and components for piping systems such above and below grade.

Prepare, maintain and submit documentation, correspondence and paperwork, manage parts ordering and usage, prepare and record field drawings (as-built) for the purpose of ensuring that the projects are completed with satisfactorily to all guiding standards.

Prioritize workload and operate within a defined budget.

Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, and punctuality.

Must fill out documentation in a legible manner.

Conduct safety tailgate meetings.
