Job Duties:
Responsible for supporting multiple business units by participating in a functional and technical capacity in all phases of Project Life Cycles and ongoing management, support and maintenance of FOX MediaCloud. Lead multiple activities such as business process reengineering activities and managing complex requirements, while serving as functional liaison and key constituent to the user community. Gain an understanding of the customers operations and how systems are used in support of their operations and transferring knowledge between users and technical members of the team. Specific duties include: 1) Project initiation, which includes developing an understanding of customers’ needs and applying it in researching potential solutions; participating in clarification, rationalization and documentation of project requests; and participating in the preparation of the Business Case, Project Charter, Project Cost Justification, RFI, RFP, Package Selection Recommendation and other project initiation documents. 2) Application development, which includes analyzing and documenting relevant business processes; conducting interviews with customers to define functional requirements; serving as intermediary between technical and non-technical teams to ensure items are developed to meet business needs; leading and/or participating during detailed design and/or configuration; participating in software selection process, where applicable; participating in Integration Testing, including development of test plans, test cases and scenarios and documentation of results; facilitating and/or conducting User Acceptance Testing; assisting in the preparation of end user documentation, training materials, curriculum and schedule; conducting training classes, including train-the trainer, one-on-one and classroom style training; providing first line post implementation support to users regarding functional issues; and participating in change management activities. 3) Application support, which includes taking ownership of functional issues by identifying underlying problems, analyzing potential solutions and implementing system resolutions, including workarounds when needed; participating in functional analysis for production support activities; applying department change control policies and procedures; and coordinating with other IT departments on integrated system support. 4) Administration duties, which includes team management, communicating plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis; and adhering to department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices. Oversee 9 lower-level subordinates consisting of a Program Manager, Project Manager, Business Analysts and UX/UI Designers.
Minimum requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Engineering Management or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate IT business analysis, functional project management or related business systems analysis experience in the entertainment or broadcast industry, including experience in participating, managing or developing in a software development environment; defining complex user requirements; managing complex requirements from inception through delivery; and managing/maintaining relationships with direct team, partners, customers and vendors.
Experience must include three (3) years of constructing/running SQL database queries; managing and following change control practices; working with relevant business application software such as digital media asset management and project management software; and developing project documentation, presentation materials and presenting to technical and nontechnical audiences.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Software product management; 2) User experience and user interface; 3) Knowledge of cloud computing, technologies, and standards; 4) Knowledge of digital file transfer acceleration tools; 5) Knowledge of digital media transcoding and transformation; 6) Knowledge of metadata modeling, taxonomy, and standards; 7) Knowledge of information security best practices; and 8) IT structured analysis methodologies, including process flow definition and data flow diagramming;
