Job Duties: Responsible for television content distribution and operations management duties, including ensuring the timely and reliable distribution of production digital media to customers through the Foxfast application portal, platform, and associated components; overseeing the operational integrity and integrations of the technologies, software, services, and processes provided by the Foxfast group and application platform; overseeing code promotions to the production Foxfast environment in Azure, using best practices in software deployment as well as change management; operationalizing new technologies, systems, and services through automated processes, defined standard operating procedures (SOP), as well as stability, performance, and load monitoring, alerting and analysis; and, developing and measuring operational quality metrics to drive and maintain rigor and accountability within the Foxfast operations team. Responsible for providing escalation support duties, which includes diagnosing application issues as reported by external users, internal team members, or through various monitoring systems utilized by the program and leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and external technical teams; managing technical and functional team members, as part of the Foxfast Operations team, and investigating and remediating systems and application issues in Production, first and foremost, and in the lower environments as needed; managing and coordinating day-to-day support activities of the Foxfast Service Desk, including ticket resolution, root cause analysis, customer communications, and incident escalation; managing planned outages with internal and external technical teams, ensuring proper business communications and timely execution to minimize disruptions to customers and business impact; and, responding to and remediating unplanned outages to minimize disruptions to customers and business impact, liaising directly with L1 application support and NOC teams. Responsible for administration duties, including providing communicating plans, status and issue updates to management on a regular and timely basis; conducting regular staff meetings and for disseminating pertinent information to team members; meeting regularly with regional technical teams to define goals, review work assignments and project tasks, set priorities, communicate and share issues; coaching and mentoring staff members, pushing principles of continuous improvement and practices that maintain a high level of morale; and, disseminating and enforcing standards for information technology across relevant business units. Responsible for relationship management duties, which includes establishing and maintaining relationships with external and internal customers, internal IT staff and vendors; and managing customer expectations, prioritizing project requests, and negotiating to resolve problems and issues. Minimum requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Electronic Engineering, Engineering or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate IT management or related experience leading IT projects and teams, including experience in analyzing functional and technical requirements and mapping documents and transforming them into a comprehensive test plan; digital asset management and transcoding systems; and operational management and technical project management in a digital media environment. Experience must include three (3) years of experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodology; application performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, App Dynamics, and Foglight; working with log management tools such as Splunk, Solarwinds LEM, and ManageEngine; enterprise ticketing tools such as Service Now, JIRA, and Remedy; working with Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016 and RHEL 5/6/7; working with MSSQL and other query languages; scripting experience with Power Shell; and experience with code deployment best practices. Position also requires two (2) years of experience with cloud computing paradigms, including Azure and Amazon technologies and infrastructure; and working with VMWare and Virtualization technologies.
