Job Duties:
Primarily responsible for Local and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) and network security support. Act as a subject matter expert on network security and firewall policy analysis, QA, and review. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Fox's datacenter firewalls. Perform network and security hardware and software maintenance. Ensure that standards are maintained for firewalls and other network edge device version updates and patches. Interface with vendors and Fox partners to ensure that security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities. Produce and interpret network security analysis reports. Team with Enterprise Security Services to implement and operate security policies and procedures. Provide, on an as-needed basis, 4th level escalation for network outages and application troubleshooting. Responsible for network design, which will include consulting with customers to identify data and network security requirements, preparing and updating network security documentation, designing and configuring network security implementations, and assessing new and relevant networking and security technologies. Perform design reviews, which will include maintaining security design requirements documentation with accurate SCDS information, participating as a Subject Matter Expert in architectural and security design reviews, and making recommendations on existing projects to improve network security. Responsible for administrative duties, which will include communicating security plans, status and security issues to management on a regular basis, reporting security activities through time tracking system, mentoring other network engineers with security best practices, participating in project and activity tracking processes, and participating in the change control process.
Minimum requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering or a related field (will accept a three-year or four-year Bachelor’s degree) and five (5) years of network security engineering and administration or related experience designing and managing complex global enterprise networks, including experience working with firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco), and enterprise routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
Experience must include (3) years of managing large datacenter networks, and working with Cisco Nexus switches (7k, 6k, 5k and 2k) and routers, and F5 load balancers.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Providing network services support to application developers, end users and other operational personnel; 2) Providing design and product recommendations and configurations for both datacenter and branch office network and security deployments; 3) Traffic monitoring and analytics such as packet capture analysis, with Wireshark and Splunk; 4) QOS; 5) Big IP F5 Load Balancing; and 6) Remote access and VPN

Must also have at least one professional certification(s) in: JNCIP-SEC, PCNSE, F5-CA or CCNP
