Transportation Planner
VACANT POSITION
Transportation Planner: Hoopa Roads Department. Regular, Full Time.
Salary: $60,000-$65,000 Depending On Qualification
The position is an interdisciplinary team member who will develop and analyze policy and data to prepare, administer, and monitor transportation plans, programs, and projects. The position will also administer and monitor the federal Tribal Transportation Program (TTP) funding sources, and is responsible for the preparation of the annual budget for federal, state, and local transportation funds to be approved by the Hoopa Valley Tribal Council.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering Degree, or closely related field and/or 6 years of equivalent planning experience. Must be knowledgeable of professional engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to a full range of duties associated with design, construction, and maintenance of transportation systems and related facilities. Must be knowledgeable in Tribal Roads Construction procedures involving Federal laws and California statutes including ; Knowledge of Hoopa Tribal Policy, Bureau of Indian Affairs Manual, Federal Highway Administration, National Environmental Policy Act, and Highway and Bridge Engineering. Must possess a Valid California Driver's License and be insurable. Subject to background check.
