Hospice Registered Nurse - Clinical Director

We are seeking a Hospice Clinical Director for our expansion to the Council Bluffs, IA area. This position will have the opportunity to serve patients and families while establishing a community presence and building the framework to develop an exceptional team. Hospice of the Midwest will provide thorough training and support in developing this new location and team!
Job duties of this rewarding position include:
- Completing initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients and families as needed, and until staff are hired
- Leading interdisciplinary group meeting and maintaining communication with team members to ensure optimal coordination of care for patients and families
- Coordinating all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical personnel
- Supervising hospice clinical personnel, including hiring, conducting orientation, and coordinating continuing education opportunities
- Assisting in the development of organizational goals, assuring compliance with all laws regarding licensure and certification
- Monitoring budget and assisting in the development of annual budget
Ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Iowa
- Hospice supervisory experience required
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor staff
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and CHAP standards
