The position participates in product development teams that specify, build, test and challenge new product designs to improve efficacy, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability and cost for endoscopes and vision systems. Individuals in this role must demonstrate excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing, process development and be able to work with multiple sites to develop state of the art manufacturing lines. This position requires technical competence along with being a team player and a self-starter.

Roles and Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority to:
• Lead cross-functional teams in the deployment and qualification of new product lines at multiple sites.• Maintain and improve efficient medium volume manufacturing processes including:
o Qualify new processes and new suppliers to deliver new and innovative productso Workplace and flow process development.o Specify, document, procure, qualify, implement, and improve fixtures, hand tools and equipment.
Qualifications• Improve process and procedures to improve quality and yield of new products.• Develop and maintain compliance with the quality system.• Provide product and process DFx (Manufacturing, Assembly) input• Analyze risk in manufacturing processes (pFMEA) to incorporate and validate critical tests required.
Skill/Job Requirements:
• BS in engineering required, MS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in medium to high volume manufacturing of complex products
• Demonstrated experience in project management and organizational ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience with process validation protocols and required documentation for controlled manufacturing such as in medical devices
• Process development skills including pFMEA, tolerance analysis, DoE, SPC, GR&R, and Cpk.
• Experience with manufacturing of opto-mechanical, electronic assemblies and optical systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical assembly, testing, inspection processes and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience in medical device/ regulated industry preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, follow-up and documentation skills.
• Proven track record of teamwork and willingness to take initiatives in solving product and manufacturing problems.
