PART-TIME CLERK FLUENT IN MANDARIN WITH ENGLISH PROFICIENCY FOR DOWNTOWN LAW OFFICE
Downtown Los Angeles Immigration Law Office Seeks a Highly Motivated Part-Time Clerk Fluent in Mandarin With English Proficiency. Attorney May be Amenable to Having Clerk Work as an Independent Contractor if not as an Employee. Attorney is Well-Recognized in His Field, with Over 20 Years Litigation Experience.
Compensation: $17 to $21 an hour, depending on Experience. Public Transportation Allowance Provided.
You must have an EAD Card or Legal Permission to Work in the United States. OPT status is OK, as is Pending Adjustment of Status or Asylum Status.
Duties and Skills:
Filing documents, helping maintain existing filing systems, court calendars, and other databases. You will also be scanning files and uploading them to an online data base. Some computer proficiency is thus preferred. Answer phones. Many Clients speak Mandarin Chinese so fluency in Mandarin is needed. File Documents in Court. Interact with Clients in the Office.
Strong Organizational and Good Interpersonal Skills Required.
Prior Experience Not Required - Will Train.
HOURS: 20-21 Hours a Week, M/W/F, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., is expected work schedule, but may be Modified Depending on Applicant's Availability.

This job may eventually become a full-time position in the future as the firm continues to grow.
