Merchandising Internship

BASIC PURPOSE: The Merchandising Intern will support the Merchandising Department with managing the Vendor Link Portal (VL) Program, Rebate Program, and Analyzing Day to Day Merchandising Operations. This person will interact with internal and external Merchandising Department personnel as well as the supplier community at Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and Manage the VL Program, and implement continuous additions and changes as needed
- Manage the Love’s Merchandising Intranet Site
- Assist with Developing Technology Advancement
- Continue Development of / Maintain the Store Master List
- Assist with Projects as Assigned
- Assist in Moving Supplier Partners to EDI Invoicing Process and item setup
- Receive and Manage Vendor Submissions on a weekly basis
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Currently Enrolled: Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field
- Experience:
- Experience in retail preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proven Experience with Troubleshooting Principles, Methodologies, and Issue Resolution Techniques
- Experience with Database Systems preferred
- Experience Working in a Team-Oriented, Collaborative Environment
