Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsible for the clinical, operational and leadership of the Mercy Orthopedic Hospital Pharmacy in Springfield Missouri. Lead a staff of clinical pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians to provide contemporary clinical pharmacy services and distribution management at this orthopedic specialty hospital. Direct patient contact and consultation with medical staff required. Ensure compliance with rules and regulations. This is a working supervisor position ideal for an emerging leader that wants an independent practice location with the resource support of the main Mercy hospital in Springfield. Excellent training and mentorship available to successful candidate. Qualifications:Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.Current Missouri Pharmacy licensure.Previous hospital pharmacy work history of three years with Unit Dose experience or successful completion of a pharmacy residency is required.A sound understanding of pharmacy responsibilities and the skill to provide these services is required. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required. Good investigative, fact-finding and problem solving skills are necessary. Ability to provide leadership and serve as a role model to departmental personnel is expected. This individual must demonstrate good professional judgment in decisions, consistent attention to detail, and thorough work performance. Ability to reflect a genuine care, warmth, and personal concern when communicating with others is expected. Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and details of the job is necessary. This individual must be able to display awareness and concern for how individual actions and decisions may affect others.
