The Senior Portfolio Manager will have a focus on supporting with the credit portfolio, but can be involved with the deposit relationships, as applicable. The individual in this position will need to have strong financial analysis and business acumen skills in order to assist relationship managers with initial loan spreads, structures, pre-underwriting, pricing models, and credit memorandums. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also be involved in the entire loan process, including monitoring reports, coordinating documentation, and presenting at Loan Structuring Committee.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will assist the Relationship Managers to ensure that their credit portfolio has the required updated financials and is meeting compliance guidelines. In addition, the Senior Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the ongoing risk management of their assigned credit portfolios. The candidate should have strong communication skills to be able to partner with the Relationship Managers in speaking with clients and prospects regarding their credit needs and financials understanding. This position will also be involved in the entire loan process including monitoring reports (i.e. tickler, past due and exception), coordinating documentation and presenting at Loan Structuring Committee.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will be expected to be familiar with credit policy and to work closely with the other Portfolio Managers and Underwriters to mitigate risk while working with customers and ensuring that the bank is responding and completing requests in a timely manner.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 7 plus years of commercial banking experience
- Extensive knowledge of commercial lending policy, all applicable laws and regulations and credit quality standards
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written, communication and presentation skills
