A U.S. Department of Education Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (DHSI) - Title V grant funds this position (Award #: P031S190160). The primary purpose of the grant is to expand educational opportunities for and improve the attainment of, Hispanic and low-income students. With this grant, MCC has the following position vacancies:
vice president of student services
Full-Time position based in Fortt Morgan. The Vice President of Student Services (VPSS) serves as the chief student services officer for Morgan Community College (MCC). The VPSS advocates with passion for the needs and concerns of students and provides visionary leadership to sustain a secure and supportive environment that promotes student academic success, engaged learning, personal development, and involvement beyond the classroom for MCC's Fort Morgan Campus and four centers. The Vice President provides leadership for the successful planning, implementation, and management of all student services functions. The VPSS works closely with staff from other departments to coordinate key student recruitment functions & student onboarding throughout the service area.
Success Coordinator
The Success Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the Summer Bridge, Supplemental Instruction, Tutoring, and Transfer/Career programs. Position is responsible for maintaining complete records on activities and numbers of students served for reporting purposes. Must travel as necessary to carry out job duties and participate in occasional evening and weekend commitments
Success Advisor
The Success Advisor is responsible for providing intrusive academic advising to students throughout the MCC service area from target populations as defined in the Grant. The position is responsible for maintaining complete records on activities and numbers of students served for reporting purposes. Must travel as necessary to carry out job duties and participate in occasional evening and weekend commitments.
Title V Project Specialist
This Title V Project Specialist facilitates communication between the Project and the other areas of the college. This position manages day-to-day accounting and administrative processes related to the Title V grant including maintaining and reconciling a soft ledger for the project and preparing documentation to support financial processes. This position will also provide direct implementation support for the Project's Professional Development program including assisting participants with travel and accounting paperwork and arrangements.
