Job Description
Summary:
Accountable for the management, oversight and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy within the store, including pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability and loss prevention. The Pharmacy Manager will help patients and customers by soliciting information about a customer’s medical history and providing counseling when appropriate. The Pharmacy Manager will communicate and collaborate with all healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and optimal patient care, including offering and providing clinical services, such as immunizations and health screenings.
The individual will also be responsible for the development and performance management of all Pharmacy Staff (comprised of both staff Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians), identification of critical business opportunities, establishing meaningful solutions to drive performance and growth; and successfully implement those plans by managing the Pharmacy Staff to accomplish these goals. The Pharmacy Manager will lead and direct the Pharmacy Staff as well as be responsible for the training and development of the Pharmacy Staff; including providing a performance review and evaluation of Staff Pharmacists, Interns, and Technicians, according to scheduled review process. The Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for making or effectively recommending all Pharmacy Staff human resources decisions. The individual will ensure Pharmacy Staff compliance with all federal and state laws, rules and regulations and CVS policy/procedures at all times.
In addition, the Pharmacy Manager will perform the standard duties of a pharmacist, to include compounding and dispensing medications issued by authorized medical practitioners; addressing clinical effects of drugs, providing counseling, and assisting patients in managing medical conditions. The individual will also communicate with customers and patients regarding their confidential health and drug information; and maintain and manage daily and weekly reports to drive business and the healthcare needs of the patients. The Pharmacy Manager will also help to minimize healthcare costs by assisting customers that are affected by changes in programs, legislation, and Third Party insurance.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or Foreign Equivalent in Pharmacy & valid Texas Pharmacist license or ability to obtain license. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and meet CVS Health's leadership competencies (Focuses on customers, Leads with purpose, Works collaboratively, Develops talent, Drives business results, Follows community responsibility standards and Promotes a path to better health). Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy in lieu of a PharmD. Must Apply By Date to 04/08/2019.
