Purchasing Coordinator
Physicians' Clinic of Iowa is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to establish and maintain the purchasing protocol for Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa.
This individual will have multiple responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Assists in developing and administering purchasing policies and procedures and coordinate appropriate revisions.
- Reviews and processes purchase requisitions, purchase order adjustments, and requisitions for PCI purchases; develops and assists with implementation of processes for efficiency improvements; provides customer service and departmental support as it pertains to the purchasing process.
- Analyzes, identifies, and communicates information regarding purchase orders; identifies, researches, and resolves problems relating to purchasing issues.
- Maintains and updates purchasing materials, files, and databases; contributes to and supports departmental initiatives.
- Verifies and inputs vendor data into system; develops reports to track vendors and category spending for the organization.
The leading candidate will have knowledge of purchasing policies and practices as well as excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and report preparation skills as well as the ability to interact well with vendors and internal/external customers and provide assistance to various PCI departments also required.
Successful candidate will have strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft office suite with an emphasis on Excel. Prior experience with a purchasing system platform is preferred. The qualified candidate must demonstrate attention to detail.
Prefer candidates with an Associates degree; supplemented with one to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
