Assistant Professor of Communication and Emergent Media
The successful candidate would focus on the intersection of digital media and strategic communication, as well as use new technologies and/or big data to tell stories, particularly from a social justice perspective. Ideal candidates will examine how technological innovations are changing communication practices and how these innovations impact and inform strategic communication decisions, particularly as they relate to issues of race, ethnicity, inequality and identity in and across local and international contexts.

An ideal candidate would teach and develop courses for our Media & Society track that would simultaneously complement courses in our Public Relations & Civic Engagement track, as well teach core and elective classes. The teaching load is six undergraduate courses per year. Ph.D. in Journalism Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations or relevant field required.
