LCSW Social Worker - Full time position - SPOP is a nationally recognized leader in geriatric mental health. SPOP was the first, and remains one of a handful of agencies in the nation that focuses on the comprehensive mental health needs of seniors living in the community. Since our inception in 1972 we have been providing a full array of services to older adults living in the Manhattan community. SPOP is a NYS licensed mental health provider serving over 1000 elderly individuals each year through our programs: Clinic, Personalized Recovery Oriented Service (PROS) program, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Bereavement Support, and Education and Training. SPOP operates the only geriatric PROS program in New York State.

We are now seeking a Bilingual Spanish LCSW to join us and help us continue our organizational vision and achieve the agency's mission of enhancing the quality of life of older adults and to foster their independent living through the delivery of comprehensive mental health and supportive services, advocacy and education.
The LCSW position focuses on providing mental health services to older adults at our main site on the Upper West Side as well as at satellite sites in Upper Manhattan. Our innovative model allows for therapeutic interventions to occur in settings in which older adults can participate in treatment with minimum stigma and maximum connection to care, such as Senior Centers and case management agencies. Requirements: Qualified applicants are required to have an LCSW and Bilingual Spanish language skills. Experience with an older adult population is preferred. Candidates should have strong clinical skills as well as experience with using an electronic health record and facilitating groups.
