Property Manager / Compliance Officer
This rare opportunity comes as the result of a 19-year veteran employee retiring.
This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package including vacation, sick, personal leave and 10 paid holidays, Health, Life, AD & D insurance, State pension with SHA matching contribution. Salary range $60,000-$70,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director responsible for the administration, management, maintenance, day-to-day functions of rental properties, including supervision of staff, budgeting and the enforcement of policies and lease provisions, as well as performing hands-on direct duties required to ensure optimal management of assigned properties.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of housing programs and other related programs including operations, regulations and policies.
- Knowledge of personnel development, direction, supervision and administrative and business practices with the ability to put into action.
- Ability to analyze and assess a variety of information, including financial, legal, and operational.
- Knowledge of other agency programs and structures.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs asthey relate to department use and good computer keyboarding skills.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality and the ability to respect laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and ability to properly implement safety procedures.
- Knowledge of property maintenance principles and practices and ability to effectively implement.
- Knowledge of building systems and capital improvement planning principles to ensure effective long-term asset management.
- Ability to develop, revise, and execute administrative policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; solve problems; and effectively organize and systematize procedures.
- Ability to initiate work projects and to work independently using sound judgment and common sense.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict; delegate and accept responsibility and authority.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, perform work in a courteous and diplomatic manner and establish and maintain harmonious working relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with people of all social and economic backgrounds.
- Graduation from a four-year course at an accredited college or university in business, public administration, or a related field.
- Three years’ experience in administrative work involving general administrative duties or housing management, two years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Any combination of education and work experience as may be acceptable as equivalent by the Executive Director.
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License is required. Tax Credit Certification or ability to obtain it within six months is required.
