Public Notice Account Executive

We are searching for a Public Notice Account Executive who will be responsible for tactical and rapid account acquisition of new public notice advertising in the Colorado Springs Gazette, Colorado Politics and Gazette Community Publications. This position can be remote with a geographic scope of responsibility in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Target business opportunities through strategic prospecting and fact-finding.
- Exhibit a consultative selling style by conducting needs assessment by asking questions to learn the business goal and objectives of the prospect.
- Call on law firms and government offices in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas
- Meet established monthly and annual revenue and account development goals.
- Collaborate with manager to develop strategies that align with sales goals.
- Communicate with manager on opportunities, customers, and general business conditions.
- Maintain the dignity and identity of the team and team members.
- Maintain focus and discipline in fulfilling your roles and executing the commitments of the team.
- Keep client files organized.
- Produce accurate work, keeping adjustments to a minimum while adhering to deadlines.
- Submit reports and forecasts in a timely manner.
- Advocate and demonstrate a superior level of excellent internal and external customer service.
- Timely attendance during a regular and predictable schedule is required. Certain critical times of the workday exist during which duties of this position must be performed.
Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED; BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing or related field a plus
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience; track record of success in prospecting and closing new business. Experience working with law firms and government agencies a plus.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Advanced training and or experience in sales.
- Persuasive communication skills that gain acceptance of yourself and your ideas.
- Effective listening skills and the ability to determine client needs through proper needs assessment techniques.
- Proven track record and skill in closing sales.
- Self-motivation and ability to plan daily priorities in a way that ensures a high sales closing ratio.
- Strong oral presentation skills and ability to field questions from clients.
- Advanced training and or experience in overcoming client objections.
- Ability to think creatively and holistically along company product lines as it pertains to preparing plans and proposals.
- Skilled in managing time wisely, leaving ample time in each day for high gain activities.
- Ability to work with teams while treating clients, both internal and external, with dignity and respect.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance to set the stage for sales success.
- Must be reliable and sincere.
- Effectively communicate in English, both written and oral. Spanish language skills a plus.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
You also have:
