Registered Veterinary Technicians
The College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center seeks registered veterinary technicians to join the Small Animal Anesthesia team and the Small Animal Surgery team with the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. These opportunities will allow the successful candidates to assist team clinicians and care-giving colleagues with the reception, treatment, and monitoring of all patients within the units. Additionally the successful candidates will oversee and instruct professional veterinary students in preparation of animals and equipment for medical procedures and delivery of care. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: supervising and performing ordered treatments on patients; assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; transmitting case updates to colleagues; preparing and submitting charge tickets for all services rendered according to hospital fee schedules; and other duties. The successful candidates will be expected to work 40 hours a week with required alternating on-call shifts. Holidays may be required and will be based on a team rotation. Successful candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio and complete a background check.

Required Qualifications: Successful candidates must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio with an Associate's degree in Animal Health Technology from an approved AVMA Technician Program. Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, pushing/pulling/lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases, exposure to needle sticks, hazardous chemicals, and/or bio hazardous waste.
