Job Summary: Are you able to help students navigate the complex world of Financial Aid while delivering excellent customer service? Then this is the position for you! The Financial Aid Specialist is responsible for assisting students and families completing the FAFSA, navigating the MyTCC portal and the Financial Aid Dashboard, and providing student-facing service for the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office. The Financial Aid Specialist understands federal, state and institutional policies regarding financial aid programs and can effectively communicate basic eligibility, award and disbursement information, satisfactory academic progress and the effects of a withdrawal to a student.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma plus some college level coursework in Accounting or Business. Six months customer service experience. Effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to successfully interact with diverse individuals and groups in person, telephone, and in written correspondence. Effective use of organizational and planning skills. Previous use of standard office software applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer college or university work experience. Personal computer training or experience with MS Office preferred.
Minimum Salary: Minimum starting salary: $11.16 per hour.
