Counselor - 9-month position
The Counseling Center provides initial consultation, brief services, and crisis intervention to students, as well as outreach and consultation to the campus community.
We seek a licensed and experienced clinician to join our staff. This is a 9-month position, covering the academic year, typically from early/mid-August to early/mid-May.
Primary Responsibilities
- Brief clinical services to college students, including:
- Initial consultation
- Crisis intervention
- Individual, couples, and group counseling
- Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical contacts
- Outreach and psychoeducation on developmental and mental health issues
- Consultation to faculty/staff, family, and friends of students of concern
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work or related field
- Licensed for independent practice in the State of Missouri as Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker
- Four years relevant clinical experience, at least two years post-licensure
- Experience working with college population highly desirable
