Local Point is the anchor of the sit-down, West Campus dining experience. Comprised of 6 culinary concepts, The Big Kitchen, The Deli, Global Kitchen, The Grill, Tero and Pagliacci Pizza, Local Point offers the West Campus community a wide variety of dining options. On a busy weekday, Local Point’s kitchens serve approximately 3000 customers for breakfast, lunch and dinner, making it a lively place for students, faculty and staff to meet and dine. In this Food Service Worker 2 position, you will provide amazing customer service and cook and assemble entrees for the bustling community.
Minimum Qualifications
• One year of experience cooking in high-volume restaurant or production kitchen.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for required qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience using email, experience using a menu management system to review recipes and instructions and/or complete basic entries such as temperature logs and waste sheets.
• Experience working as an integral member of a team.
• Experience providing informal leadership/direction/instruction to others.
Conditions of Employment
• A satisfactory outcome from the reference and education check process.
• Acquire a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment and maintain thereafter.
Preference will be given to candidates with solid leadership and customer service experience in fast-paced environments, and who demonstrate a strong focus on teamwork and providing consistently high-quality products and service.
• The salary range for this job is $2,766 - $3,266 per month, plus full benefits.
• This position will work Monday-Friday, 12:30-9:00PM.

HFS provides on-campus housing and dining to over 7,800 student residents each year.
