Brief Summary of Job Description:
The Associate Director of Sponsorships will work directly with Business Services, Athletics, Marketing & Communications and Student Affairs. This position is responsible for building, leading and coordinating all phases of a campus-wide and individual department sponsorship program. This involves responsibility for developing and maintaining a marketing plan for the sponsor program in order to meet or exceed the overall business objectives. Responsibilities include sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, contract revision and servicing, sponsorship payments and collections, and sponsor follow-up and support. This individual has the responsibility of assuring the University and outside vendors' values, goals, marketing, and branding opportunities and standards are upheld, and that the vendor enjoys the desired benefits of the partnership. In addition, this position is responsible for creating and overseeing a revenue contract process and database for all campus agreements. This individual will work with Business Services, Finance, and other campus and university departments to ensure an efficient and accountable process is implemented and applied across the campus.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement a sponsorship sales plan for increasing revenues in a cost-effective manner; target objectives include increasing sponsorship sales and creating sponsorship products and licensing deals in order to meet or exceed the overall business objectives of the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
- Develop, implement and oversee revenue contracts across the campus and ensure all contract terms and conditions are followed by the University and outside parties.
- Manages all sponsorship activities. Responsible for sponsor prospecting, proposal customization and presentation, contract revision and servicing, sponsorship payments and collections, and sponsor follow-up and support.
- Work directly with Business Services to assist with other contracts and auxiliary activities as assigned.
- Submit marketing plans, prospect activity, and forecast reports to Business Services, Athletics, Marketing and Communications, Student Affairs and other campus departments as necessary.
- Interface with internet marketing to create and manage online sponsorship programs to ensure a steady stream of prospects and future sales.
