Ministry Coordinator - Wayfarers Chapel (WC)

General Responsibilities

The Ministry Coordinator will be directly responsible to the director of Ministry for the Coordinating the local and worldwide ministry of WC.

Specific Responsibilities

1) Coordinate the WC ministry efforts in cooperation with other staff, including the Director of Ministry.

2) Work with WC clergy and Team Leaders to help accomplish the ministry goals of WC to strengthen the ministry's outreach by providing reminders, input, and resources to achieving the goals established by the Director of Ministry and the various WC Teams.

3) Represent WC with a receptive and pleasant presence to the community including answering phones and clerical duties with regular office hours.

4) Oversee public relations of WC, including design & publication of all print & electronic media (including but not limited to bulletins, website, electronic newsletter, flyers, social media etc.).

5) Assist the Director of Ministry in fundraising for the upcoming Chapel Restoration Project.

6) Maintain image library for WC's self-promotion in all media.

7) Maintain records of WC electronic newsletter mailing list.

8) Represent WC in the wider community through WC ministry programs and networking with partner agencies and organizations.

9) Communicate with association members, informal congregations, community members and wayfarers regarding concerns, prayer requests and volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications

1) 2 year degree in Administration, Ministry or public relations; or equivalent work experience.

2) Familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop & Bridge, WordPress, mailChimp, Social Media

3) Strong written and verbal communication skills

4)Self-motivated and able to make independent decisions for the good of the organization under the review of the Director of Ministry

5) Organized and efficient in working on a variety of tasks alongside of and in supervision of volunteers
