Description:
Under the leadership of the Director Strategic Sourcing (Packaging & Indirect), Procurement Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Indirect and MRO Sourcing personnel with contract management, PO entry and other procurement sourcing activities. The position requires excellent organizational skills and active participation in fulfilling the mission of the department.
- Assist with preparation for Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) or other bidding documents, including notice and instructions to bidders, and coordination of contract and lease documents for routing and approval and issuance of appropriate purchase orders.
- Responsible for taking purchase requisitions from various departments within Wells, obtaining price quotes from suppliers and/or verifying the appropriate terms are in place and converting to a purchase order. Engagement of Procurement Sourcing personnel responsible for commodity or service when necessary.
- Identify, modify and/or develop and implement processes or process enrichments that stream line or improve internal or external work flow and align with company policies.
- Assist the Procurement Strategic Sourcing Director and Packaging and Indirect Sourcing Managers with miscellaneous sourcing and/or savings projects. This may include commodity research and/or supporting the day-to-day business relationship with some suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/volume/delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing end-user feedback, follow up on backorders etc.
- Assist Accounts Payable Department in the reconciliation of invoices. Engage and coach originating departments accordingly.
- Assist MRO Buyer and Sr. MRO Buyer in the creation and categorization part numbers to the inventory master list. Review all data bases and cross check for duplication. Maintain purchasing data (i.e. lead times, payment terms and pricing) and recommended supplier on each item while ensuring commodity performance.
