Clinical Team Leader
Would you like to help Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine (WesternU CDM) train the next generation of dental practitioners? The College of Dental Medicine is recruiting an experienced general dentist or veteran team leader to mentor predoctoral students as they learn to provide quality patient care in a unique clinical learning model. The Team Leader must be committed to providing a quality dental education within a university environment founded on the core values of humanism, caring, science and technical excellence.
Two Team Leaders work in conjunction with a Managing Partner faculty. The Team Leaders and Managing Partner are responsible for the operation and educational outcomes of vertical teams of students in a general dentistry, group practice model. The ideal Team Leader will oversee and demonstrate the ability to manage the full scope of general dental procedures offered in our comprehensive patient care model. Strong practice management skills and a hands on approach to clinical teaching are a distinct advantage.

This position is full-time and open as of August 1, 2019. A DDS/DMD degree from an institution accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or equivalent, and a California dental license or demonstrated eligibility for licensure in California is required. Completion of an AEGD, GPR or other residency program and at least five years of clinical practice experience is highly desirable. Education: D.D.S. or D.M.D degree from an institution accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience with demonstrated managerial and mentoring skills. 3
Dental Licensure: Must have active California license or be qualified to obtain licensure in California.
